Bond family

The Arc Tennessee is a grassroots, non-profit, statewide advocacy organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Founded in 1952, The Arc Tennessee is affiliated with The Arc United States and works collaboratively with local chapters across the state.

Our History
The Arc Tennessee (current name) was first organized in July 1952 when sixty-five parents met in Nashville, Tennessee at George Peabody College. Bylaws were adopted and on December 19, 1952 the association was chartered as a non-profit corporation under Tennessee Law. Read more about our long history written by Pat Butler here.
